Here we've collected some resources that you may find to be helpful on your Parkinson's journey. Generally, the organizations included here are non-profits and medical organizations that provide programs and services geared specifically towards the Parkinson's community or people with disabilities.

  • Philip Shayman Parkinson's Program (Tampa) at the Jewish Community Center Cohn and Glazer campuses – Movement classes (Rock Steady Boxing, Tai Chi, Stretch & Strengthen, and more), Voice Therapy, Fine Motor Skills & Handwriting, Brain Games, Patient support groups, Caregiver support groups. Virtual offerings available.

  • Parkinson's Programs at The Palms of Largo – Rock Steady Boxing, Tremble Clefs, and more. Virtual Offerings Available.

  • Tampa YMCA Pedaling for Parkinson's – Offered at two locations in the Greater Tampa Bay Area.

  • YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg – Program offerings include: Total Parkinson's, Mindful Movement, personal training, support group.

  • USF Movement Disorder Specialists - a Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence in the Tampa Bay area.

  • Potentia Therapeutics Physical Therapy (Tampa) – Physical Therapy services specifically geared towards managing Parkinson's disease. Contact Meredith DeFranco, PT, DPT

  • PunchWorX (Lakeland) – Offers Rock Steady Boxing and Aquatics Boxing exercise classes for people with Parkinson's disease at the Kelly Recreation Center in Lakeland. Contact Marty Hubbard at 865-219-7660.

  • Hope Parkinson Program (Fort Myers) - provides a network of resources and education for people affected by Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders, including movement classes, support groups, education, and social activities.

  • JAX Hope (North Florida region) - assisting people with Parkinson's by providing education, advocacy, resources and services, including support groups, movement programs, and more.
