It is with both gratitude and sadness that we announce that Rise Above Parkinsons, Inc. will cease operations effective December 31, 2026.
For the past five years, it has been our privilege to serve Florida's Parkinson's community by providing financial assistance to individuals and families living with Parkinson's disease. Thanks to your generosity, dedication, and belief in our mission, together we have made a meaningful difference.
Awarding more than $250,000 in financial assistance to individuals and families across Florida.
Raising awareness of Parkinson's disease through events such as Pickled for Parkinson's while fostering connections within the Parkinson's community.
Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to secure the resources necessary to sustain our mission for the future. After careful consideration, our Board of Directors has determined that dissolving the organization is the most responsible course of action. This decision was made in accordance with our bylaws and all applicable legal requirements.
At the same time, we are currently in discussion with another organization about continuing aspects of our mission. While those discussions are ongoing, there is no guarantee that an arrangement will be reached. Therefore, we will continue to move forward with our planned dissolution while exploring this possibility. We encourage you to stay connected with us for future announcements, as we will share any significant developments as they become available. While our organization is dissolving, the spirit of our work lives on in the lives we’ve touched and in the community we’ve built together. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for believing in us, standing with us, and making a difference.
Official Notice of Dissolution
Effective September 14, 2026, Rise Above Parkinsons, Inc, a registered nonprofit organization in Florida, has begun the process of formal dissolution as approved by its Board of Directors.
We are now winding up our affairs in accordance with nonprofit laws and our governing documents. Remaining assets, if any, will be transferred to other qualified 501(c)(3) organization(s) with a mission similar to ours.
